About Us

British Premium Meats are a well established fresh meat supplier to the catering trade. Established in 1986, this privately owned business and has gained a reputation for quality and reliability. In 2005 the company opened its BRC accredited processing plant at Welwyn Garden City, in a 1950 Sq Metre purpose built site.

The Company has a broad customer base including multi outlet Contract Caterers & Restaurant Chains, Award winning restaurants, Pub Groups, Private Schools and Colleges, and Event caterers. Working closely with each sector to ensure that their specific requirements are met and exceeded, whether this is sourcing a new product, setting up a product specification or tailoring our delivery service to fit in with access requirements, these are just some of the services that we can, and do offer to all of our customers.

Our purchasing strategy is to source and buy the best product available from a range of accredited suppliers from home and abroad, ensuring full traceability and due diligence throughout. A computerised system tracks products fromgate to plate” .

From our Welwyn production site your products are distributed to our distribution centre, ideally located to deliver to a variety of locations throughout the Midlands and the south of England.
